What fun to be back in North Carolina enjoying the southern hospitality at High Point Market’s (HPMKT) international home furnishing event. We and many renowned home fashion leaders were there to exhibit our latest and greatest designs.
For the second time, we were invited to showcase our collection of limited edition duvet covers and bed linen in the Mercatus 2,000-square-foot permanent showroom. Mercatus is a leading German furniture manufacturer based in Hamburg. Following the success of our first exhibit at HPMKT with Mercatus in April, they became distributors of ZayZay Living Luxury Linen. They were excited to feature our vibrant brand on their latest bed models.
In addition to our displays in the Mercatus showroom at 220 Elm Street, we also exhibited in a second location within the HPMKT at the Historic Market Square, a former furniture factory that has been transformed into unique upscale showrooms. Two exhibits may appear excessive, but appreciate there are over 12 million square feet of exhibitor’s space with more than 75,000 visitors over the five days. This is the largest show of its kind in the world.
Though our team was working between two exhibit spaces, it was well worth it. Not only did it generate new business, but it was an ideal networking forum for learning what’s new in the world of home decor. In addition we were able to guage how we rank as newbies – from the reviews, that’s very, very high.
Despite the long days and weary feet, we still managed to linger with the locals, explore some nostalgic gems and meet colourful characters from everywhere.
